We were asked to look at this project by a longstanding client where we had done similar refurbishment upgrades. The project was to modernize and then place the property back on the market.
This bungalow had not been modernised internally for many years and the previous owners had lots of dogs and cats, so the aroma inside was not too pleasant.
The layout of the bungalow required redesigning as the kitchen was long and narrow and was accessed from the rear through a small extension .
There was only one toilet serving the three bedrooms, that was separate to the house bathroom.
We decided to alter the layout and move the kitchen into one of the bedrooms to give a large useable kitchen and turn the old kitchen into a bedroom using the former rear entrance to become a wet room.
Patio doors were installed to the rear and a new kitchen door and window were installed to the gable to replace the bedroom window.
Landscaping was carried out consisting of turfing and timber sleepers, to the rear a patio in Indian stone to complete the works outside.
The project took 8 weeks and was placed on the market for the desired price the client had in mind, it was sold for the asking price. The client was very happy with everything and we have gone on to do more projects for them.
